"Fit for Future" is not only the motto for constant training programmes for BHS employees but also for the wide variety of activities offered by the BHS health programme. This is a contribution to physical wellbeing and helps to compensate for the strain placed on the body during work. Because everything runs more smoothly when people are healthy, specially trained BHS health trainers encourage greater movement in the workplace. This includes small exercises for strengthening the cardiovascular system and muscle tone which can easily be integrated into the daily routine, just as much as group runs or sessions for stress relief. The monthly BHS health letter provides additional encouragement for a responsible lifestyle: from basic medical knowledge through to hints for healthy nutrition and prevention of illness.
